Student Council
Applications Invited
Applications are invited for various positions in the Chhattisgarh Dental College and Research Institute (CDCRI) Student Council for the academic session 2026–2027.
Interested students are requested to carefully read the eligibility criteria, responsibilities, and rules governing the Student Council before submitting their application.
Applicants may apply for only one position. Submission of the application form does not guarantee selection. The final selection will be based on eligibility and the recommendations of the Student Council Selection Committee.
Student Council Policy
CDCRI Student Council Regulation governing the objectives, functions, constitution and tenure of the Council.
Objectives of the Council
- To foster fellow feeling and discipline amongst students.
- To encourage students to participate in Academic and Co-curricular Activities.
- To represent students as a whole and bring their opinions, suggestions and problems before the governing body.
- To organize institutional events.
- To maintain an environment that is peaceful and progressive for smooth functioning of institutional activities.
Functions of the Council
- Help maintain the academic atmosphere including teaching, learning, scientific programmes and library decorum.
- Suggest and help organize social activities related to health, hygiene and awareness.
- Participate in academic, cultural, sports and other activities.
- Create an environment of peace, discipline and well-being.
- Ensure inclusiveness of all students.
Institutional Role & Responsibilities
- Council representation is restricted to college activities and shall not involve external activities without prior permission of the Dean.
- The Council shall assist in managing and promoting official student activities through institutional media platforms, including social media, newsletters and other approved communication channels.
- The Council shall maintain proper records of its activities and prepare reports of events and programmes.
- Minutes of Council meetings shall be recorded and submitted to the Dean or designated faculty coordinator for documentation and future reference.
Constitution
- The Student Council shall be the apex body for students’ affairs.
- The Council will function under the Chairmanship of the Dean.
- One student can apply for only one post.
- The Dean will nominate candidates according to their credentials.
Eligibility Criteria
- Good academic performance and attendance.
- Active involvement in sports, cultural and social activities.
- No involvement in ragging or any other criminal activity.
Administrative Authority
- The Dean may nominate candidates for particular posts according to their credentials.
- In the event that the Council or a post holder is not performing duties properly, or has proved allegations of gross misconduct, the Dean has the right to dissolve the entire Council or replace an individual at any time.

Council Tenure
The Student Council will be functional for a period of one year or till the time the next Council becomes functional.
