About The Department:

The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics deal with correction of irregular teeth and malrelated jawbones.

The department is well equipped for undergraduate training, with state of the art facilities to treat almost an, with state of the art facilities to treat almost any kind of dento-facial deformity. The department improves the smile of hundreds of patients annually. The gamut of treatment includes removable, fixed and functional appliances.

Most widely practiced and well-accepted fixed appliance technique as used in the department which includes Begg, pre-adjusted edgewise, and tip edge among other. The department has 25 dental chairs in the clinics with a departmental museum and has a separate undergraduate pre-clinical laboratory. The department is also equipped with digital camera and computer which help in the photography of patients to maintain the pre-treatment and post-treatment records.

The department has senior and experienced Professors, Readers and Senior Lecturers who are ably assisted by the young staff members.
